Diary of a Lamp in the CastleFebruary 17th Today a visitor came to the castle. He was very tired and weak, as was his horse. The Beast, being shy of his appearance, did not show himself but bid us to make him comfortable, as us objects in the castle do for every guest. We fed him and took care of his horse, and when they were both well-rested, we sent him on his way with some new tack and, unknown by him, bags of riches. Unfortunately, the man made the mistake of stopping in the beautiful gardens. He saw the Beast’s luscious roses… and he picked one. The Forgotten PresentSnow is falling softly, covering the ground in a thick white blanket. Outside, it is cold, but inside, there is warmth. The small blue house on Messenger Lane is filled with heat from the crackling fire as well as the warm feeling of love and family.The Forgotten Present
If someone were to look inside through the picture window, they would see a happy family filled with the spirit of Christmas. Mother, father and child sit around a pile of presents. The presents rest on the soft carpet in front of a magnificently decorated tree. On the tree, ornaments and candy canes compliment the brilliant multi-colored lights which seem to light up the family
